It looks like we’re getting a sequel to “Goon,” the spring film inspired by Hanover hockey guy Doug Smith’s memoir, “Goon: The True Story of an Unlikely Journey into Minor League Hockey.” The Hollywood Reporter said on Wednesday that actor-writer Jay Baruchel plans to pen another involving all of the hockey characters. Baruchel also tweeted, “I’d like to say thank you to all of you for all the GOON 2 love. You guys are wicked.” Baruchel, who co-wrote “Goon” with Evan Goldberg, of “Superbad” fame,” tweeted that Goldberg will be a producer on the second installment. The first film starred Seann William Scott as a character based on Smith, as well as Liev Schreiber and Baruchel’s fiancee Alison Pill.
