“King of Calypso” Harry Belafonte will be in town Oct. 13 to receive the Desmond Tutu Social Justice Award at the annual gathering of South Africa Partners. Belafonte, who’s 85, is receiving the award in recognition of his longtime work on civil rights issues and humanitarian causes. We’re told actor Danny Glover, a previous recipient of the award, will be at the Marriott Cambridge to present to Belafonte.
