Tom Brady swears he ‘was just fired up’

CBS

Among the more entertaining moments of Sunday’s Patriots game was when the CBS cameras captured Tom Brady cursing on the sidelines. The QB had just scored the tying touchdown by running — more like staggering — into the end zone, and the cameras lingered long enough to see him utter “[expletive] you, [expletive].” Several sports websites posted clips of the comment Monday. Talking to WEEI’s John Dennis and Gerry Callahan, Brady was asked about the vulgarity. “The whole world was reading your lips. Who were you directing it to – the [Buffalo] Bills, the fans?,” said Callahan. Brady paused. “I’d rather not say. It wasn’t the fans and it wasn’t the refs or anything like that,” said Brady. “It was an emotional thing. I was just fired up.” In his defense, Brady throws a lot of TD passes, but rarely does he get to cross the goal line himself.
