Perkins School for the Blind held the annual Taste of Perkins this week, a mouthwatering mystery tour during which guests are guided to tables to sample savories and sweets without benefit of sight. The event combining the educational and the epicurean drew more than 225 guests, including Shawmut Construction CEO Tom Goemaat, UpStairs on the Square’s Mary-Catherine Diebel, and Staples founder Tom Stemberg and his wife, Katherine Chapman. . . . Patrick Lyons, Jon Hamm, Danny McBride, Kate Hudson, and Bradley Thomas dined at Scampo Thursday, trying the restaurant’s new menu for fall.
