Jennifer Aniston was in town earlier this week, and now we know why. The actress confirmed on Thursday that she has become a co-owner of Living Proof, the Cambridge beauty company founded by MIT’s Robert Langer (who’s used science to battle hair frizz), and Jon Flint and Amir Nashat of Polaris Venture Partners. The press release detailing the new partnership says that Aniston’s “role will involve hair care brand development and creative marketing direction for Living Proof’s hair products as well as collaboration with our leading stylists and scientists on new hair care product ideas.” Aniston says in that same release, “What caught my attention about Living Proof is the company’s unique approach to hair care — using scientific technologies to offer women actual proof in a bottle rather than hoping for results.” Aniston is following in the footsteps of our Tom Brady, who not only endorses Under Armour, but also owns a stake in the company. (Brady and Aniston have both also endorsed SmartWater.)
