Wait, Berklee College of Music hired George Clinton as chair of the school’s Film Scoring Department? What does the mastermind and principal architect of Parliament and Funkadelic know about film? Whoops, wrong guy. Turns out Berklee has hired George S. Clinton, who happens to be an award-winning composer with credits that include “Austin Powers” and Cheech & Chong’s “Still Smokin’.” (Something tells me P-Funk’s Clinton knows that movie.) Berklee’s new hire (right) arrives on campus next week.
