Guests had a good time at MassArt’s “Evening With Zandra Rhodes,” held as part of the school’s celebration of new president Dawn Barrett. After a welcome from fashionista Alan Bilzerian in Bakalar gallery, Rhodes showed off some of her creations, and then the party moved to the Pozen Center for a hot-pink-themed dinner and cocktails, a Zandra Rhodes fashion show that included vintage looks and pieces, and then an entertaining sitdown with André Leon Talley. (Both, we learned, were discovered by Diana Vreeland and found inspiration in Andy Warhol.) Guests included Ciara Hunt, Tess Atkinson, Allison O’Neil, Ronni Casty, Alan and Be Bilzerian, Ellen Poss, Susan Paine, Kristina Lyons, MassArt curator Lisa Tung, Sandy and David Bakalar, Michael and Karen Rotenberg, Holly Gilliam, daughter of director Terry Gilliam, and Serenella’s Inez Capelli and Leslee Shupe.
