The American Repertory Theater announced the cast for its upcoming production of Tennessee Williams’s “The Glass Menagerie.” The show, to be directed by Tony Award-winning director John Tiffany, will star Tony- and Emmy-winning actress Cherry Jones as Amanda Wingfield, while Zachary Quinto will play Tom, Celia Keenan-Bolger will play Laura, and Brian J. Smith will be the Gentleman Caller. Considered by many to be Williams’s poetic masterpiece, the play is about an aging Southern belle who hopes she can find the perfect “gentleman caller” for her shy, damaged daughter, Laura. The ART production begins performances on Feb. 2 at the Loeb Drama Center, with the press opening Feb. 6 and running through March 17.
