Carl Crawford’s house is yours for $2.9m

Last week, we told you about Ray Allen’s abode, which the former Celtics shooter put on the market after bolting Boston for Miami. (Ray’s Wellesley mansion — an 11,093-square-foot spread that has nine bedrooms, 9½ bathrooms, a wood-paneled library, a media room that seats 12, and a six-car garage — is on the market for $5.2 million.) Now, we’re all about Carl Crawford’s crib, also in Wellesley. The house, which the former Sox outfielder is selling because he and his $19.5 million salary are now the property of the Los Angeles Dodgers, is on the market for $2.9 million. (Kind of like Crawford himself, the value of the house is going down; the agent previously was asking $3.2 million.) The 7,000-square-foot house has five bedrooms, six bathrooms, and a game room. Crawford bought the house for $2.5 million in April 2011.
