For the second time in a year, Bobby Brown was arrested on suspicion of DUI. According to the LA Times, the Roxbury-bred singer was pulled over by police just before 1 a.m. Wednesday in Tarzana, Calif., and “when they approached him, they smelled the alcohol.” The 43-year-old New Edition star was booked and released at 8 a.m. on $25,000 cash bail. Brown was sentenced to three years’ informal probation and a day in jail after his March 26 arrest for DUI. (That arrest took place during the day in Reseda, Calif., after Brown was pulled over for talking on his cellphone.) He was also ordered to participate in a 90-day alcohol education program and pay a $390 fine. In early August, Brown checked himself into rehab as part of his plea deal, but checked out after less than three weeks of treatment, according to Radar Online. (He’s due back in court Nov. 16 on his latest arrest.) It’s been a rough year for Brown. In February, Whitney Houston, who was Brown’s wife for 14 years before they divorced in 2007, was found dead at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
