There were a few familiar faces at a fund-raiser for the new Hong Lok House, being built in Chinatown by Rogerson Communities for the Greater Boston Chinese Golden Age Center. Joining event chairs Barbara Quiroga and Mary Kakas were Janet Wu, Joanne Chang, GBCGAC executive director Ruth Moy, Christy Cashman, and Ashley Bernon. . . . Bangor bestseller Stephen King is coming to Tsongas Arena Dec. 7 to read, answer questions, and generally discuss writing. The event, called “A Conversation With Stephen King,” will be moderated by author Andre Dubus III, who teaches at UMass Lowell.
