Nat Faxon grew up in the Bay State, but he doesn’t fit the Hollywood stereotype: He’s not from Southie and doesn’t speak with a Boston accent. In fact, Faxon, one of the stars of the new Fox comedy “Ben and Kate” (and the Oscar-winning screenwriter of “The Descendants”), told Conan O’Brien he sometimes minimizes his Massachusetts roots. Why? Because he’s from Manchester-by-the-Sea, and that sounds kind of snooty.
