Historian Doris Kearns Goodwin hosted a private screening of Steven Spielberg’s new film, “Lincoln,” at the Revere Hotel Sunday, and a few of her well-known friends were on the guest list. The film, which stars Oscar winner Daniel Day-Lewis as the 16th president, is based in part on Goodwin’s book, “Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln.” Among those invited to Sunday’s sneak peek were Senator John Kerry, Vicki Kennedy, Mike Barnicle and his wife, Anne Finucane, Dave Barry, Larry Lucchino, Laurence Tribe, Cory Atkins, Dan Conley, Aida Donald, Peter DuBois, Susan Fargo, and Camille Nelson. “Lincoln” comes out Friday.
