Culinary stars gathered at the Mandarin Oriental over the weekend for a “Celebrity Chef Evening” to benefit Hadassah. The night, which was put on by Hadassah New England, celebrated the organization’s centennial anniversary and featured treats cooked up by Andy Husbands of Tremont 647, Mary Dumont of Harvest, Tiffani Faison of Sweet Cheeks, and Rachel Klein and Oralia Perez, who are responsible for the food (and sweets) at the Mandarin. Guests included Shai Bazak, Consul General of Israel to New England, who spoke during the night. Revelers included Isaac Kohane, Lawrence J. Henderson Professor of Pediatrics and Health Sciences and Technology at Harvard, and his wife, Heidi Kohane, as well as Brenda and Larry Rubin, of Bernie & Phyl’s.
