X mates drop by the MFA

While in town to perform at the Paradise, Exene Cervenka and John Doe of the great Los Angeles band X stopped by the Museum of Fine Arts to play a few tunes as part of a promo for WFNX.com. The pair, who’ve been playing together for 35 years, performed a set that included “Burning House of Love,” “I Must Not Think Bad Thoughts,” and a cover of the Carter Family song “Poor Old Heartsick Me.” Beforehand, they took a tour of the museum with pals Amanda Palmer and her husband, author Neil Gaiman.
