A party for literacy in Jamaica Plain

Jamaica Plain residents Laura and Bob Peabody hosted a private party the other night to benefit Literacy Volunteers of Massachusetts, an organization that trains volunteers to provide free, confidential tutoring for adults who need help with literacy skills. Guests at the soiree got to meet Kathryn Lasky, author of the “Guardians of Ga’Hoole” series.
