Red Sox Foundation’s Meg Vaillancourt trading teams

Red Sox senior vice president Meg Vaillancourt, who’s also the executive director of the Red Sox Foundation (and used to be a reporter at the Globe), has been hired by the Houston Astros to be the team’s vice president of community relations and executive director of the Astros in Action Foundation. The Sox say Vaillancourt will stay on as a consultant during the 2013 baseball season. . . . In other Fenway news, the Foundation to Be Named Later announced Tuesday that the lineup for the Jan. 11 Hot Stove Cool Music Baseball Roundtable will feature Chicago Cubs president of baseball operations Theo Epstein, baseball reporter Peter Gammons, Sox general manager Ben Cherington, Sox manager John Farrell, Baltimore Orioles manager Buck Showalter, and some yet-to-be-named athletes.
