Dan Schawbel is branded one to watch by Forbes

Our apologies to Millennial Branding managing partner Dan Schawbel, whom we overlooked in our item about local folks on Forbes magazine’s “30 Under 30” list. (Other locals in fields ranging from finance to music include Jefferson Pestronk at Harvard’s Graduate School of Education; Christopher Coombs, chef at Deuxave; and Leslie Dewan, working on a doctorate at MIT and helping develop a new design for nuclear reactors.) Schawbel (inset), who grew up in Newton, attended Bentley, and lives in the Seaport District, is a personal branding expert with a book, “Promote Yourself: The New Art of Getting Ahead,” due out next year. Schawbel also made it onto Inc. magazine’s “30 Under 30” in 2010, but he won’t be on such lists forever: He’s 29.
