WASHINGTON — District of Columbia police say they are investigating an incident in which NBC News journalist David Gregory displayed what he described as a high-capacity ammunition magazine on ‘‘Meet the Press.’’
Gun laws in the nation’s capital generally restrict the possession of high-capacity magazines, regardless of whether the device is attached to a firearm. Gregory held up the magazine as a prop for Sunday’s segment, apparently to make a point during an interview, even though D.C. police say NBC had already been advised not to use it in the show.

Well gee, if you are a member of the "Elite", the laws really do not apply, do they? Who are the knuckle dragging police to deny DAVID GREGORY? My goodness!
Of course, David sends his kids to a school that is secured by armed guards, but the rest of us? We can just take our chances as he mouths his blather.
He did make a good point though, if someone as clueless as him can obtain a 30 round magazine in on of the most restrictive gun areas in the country, it just shows how worthless as this legislation and speechifying has become.
By the way, BG, that was not a prop, it was a REAL 30 round magazine. Props are things used in theatrics that are meant to look LIKE real items, but are not.
