Architect Elizabeth Diller, a MacArthur “genius” grant recipient whose firm, Diller Scofidio + Renfro, designed the ICA, spoke at the Boston Public Library as part of the Druker Lecture Celebrating Design + Architecture series. (The talks are funded by developer Ron Druker.) The crowd included several notable Boston architects, including Bill Rawn, David Manfredi, Fred Koetter, James Anderson, Warren Schwartz, and Bill Porter, and photographer Peter Vanderwarke. . . . Simmons College has another stellar lineup for its annual Leadership Conference. The school will announce Tuesday that actress Viola Davis, who earned Academy Award nominations for her performances in “Doubt” and “The Help,” will headline the April 2 event, themed “Women of Influence.” The longest-running women’s leadership forum in the country will also feature talks by former Wall Street banker Sallie Krawcheck, best-selling author Charlene Li, fashion innovator Josie Natori, crisis management expert Judy Smith, and playwright Anna Deavere Smith. The conference will
be held at the Seaport World Trade Center.
