‘Jersey Boys’ in town, ‘Sister Act’ says farewell

The cast of “Jersey Boys” (above left) celebrated the start of the show’s local run with a party at Fleming’s Steakhouse & Wine Bar on Thursday night. Guests included Michael Lomenda, who plays Nick Massi; Miles Jacoby, who plays Bob Gaudio; John Gardiner, who’s Tommy DeVito; and Nick Cosgrove, who takes the lead as Frankie Valli. Jacoby happens to be a local boy. He grew up in Wellesley, went to school in Weston, and performed with the Weston Drama Workshop and the Newton Country Players. . . . Meanwhile, as Jacoby settles in Boston, Rockland native and Notre Dame Academy grad Erin Henry is saying goodbye. Henry is dance captain and swing in the national tour of “Sister Act,” which played at the Opera House from Jan. 22 through Sunday. Her next tour stop is Pittsburgh.
