Phillips Academy alum Olivia Wilde returned to campus this week, speaking to hundreds of students in Cochran Chapel about her role in the PBS documentary “Half the Sky: Turning Oppression Into Opportunity for Women Worldwide.” (In the doc, the model-actress best known for her work on “The O.C.,” “The Black Donnellys,” and “House,” travels to Kenya to highlight crises there and in other developing countries.) Wilde, Class of 2002, was introduced to the crowd by former English teacher Seth Bardo . Wilde seemed impressed with the current crop of PA students, tweeting afterward, “G’bye, Boston. Survived my return to high school. Students were hot shots. Cool kids. Way better looking these days. Or I’m just more blind.”
