‘Wicked Single’ debuts on St. Patrick’s Day

“Wicked Single,” the latest entry in the Boston-based reality TV sweepstakes, will debut, not coincidentally, on St. Patrick’s Day. And judging from VH1’s press release, the show will look and sound a lot like “Jersey Shore,” but with a Boston accent. The hard-partying cast includes a 28-year-old woman with an “outrageous” personality, a 30-year-old guy named “Chubs” known for his “immature antics,” and a 24-year-old girl nicknamed “the maniac.” Uh oh. The show premieres March 17 at 11 p.m. “Wicked Single” joins several other reality shows set in and around Boston, including A&E’s “Southie Rules,” three docu-series being produced by Mark Wahlberg, and also “Boston’s Finest,” a show about Boston cops being produced for TNT by Wahlberg’s brother Donnie.
