Adam Sandler goes from worst to worst

COLUMBIA PICTURES/AP

New Hampshire’s Adam Sandler picked up the Razzie for worst actor on Saturday for his performance in the Massachusetts-made movie “That’s My Boy” (right). This is the second year in a row the star has been named worst actor by the Razzies, which honor the year’s worst movies and performances just before the Oscars. Last year, Sandler won the prize for his performance in the comedy “Jack and Jill.” In other local Razzie news, Newton’s own Kenn Viselman, who’s known for making “Teletubbies” a US phenomenon, managed to avoid picking up the Razzie for worst film of the year for his 2012 box office flop, “The Oogieloves in the Big Balloon Adventure.” His “Oogieloves” lost out to “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 2,” which picked up the award for worst film, worst actress for Kristen Stewart, and worst supporting actor for Taylor Lautner.
