The cast of “The Office” wrapped production over the weekend, and celebrated with a Saturday-night party at Unici Casa Gallery in Culver City, Calif. The show — which ends in May after nine seasons on NBC — was always especially big around Boston because so many of its original cast members and producers are locals, including Newton’s John Krasinski and B.J. Novak; Boston girl Mindy Kaling, who, like Novak, wrote and produced many of the show’s most popular episodes; former writer and producer (and Needham guy) Lee Eisenberg, who went on to co-write the movie “Bad Teacher”; and former star Steve Carell, who’s from Acton and is a regular around Marshfield. Carell, who’s been out promoting his comedy “The Incredible Burt Wonderstone,” tweeted over the weekend, “Thinking of the cast, crew, writers, et al of ‘The Office’ on your final day of filming. Love you.” Krasinski also got mushy on Twitter Saturday night. “There is truly nothing any of us can say that could be enough. But to each and every fan of our show we simply say . . . We love you.” Krasinski then added, Michael Scott-style, “It was the greatest honor to be a part of this show! Thanks for getting behind it. Yup . . . That’s what she said.”
