Local artist’s eye candy on ‘Girls’?

Johanna Pabst

“Girls” fans: Remember this image.

It’s a watercolor by Massachusetts artist Johanna Pabst, who was contacted by HBO this week about her work because it might be featured in an episode of the show’s third season. Apparently, Pabst’s series of watercolors featuring different types of candy (including button candy, Tootsie Rolls, and gumballs) is hanging in a New York candy store where Lena Dunham will shoot an episode, so the network needed Pabst’s approval to use the art on television. (She said yes, of course.) Pabst didn’t even know her work was in the store. She would probably want us to tell you that the prints are available for sale at Etsy.com in the shop: jojolarue.
