Before heading to the Big Apple for the Sox season opener, NESN’s Jenny Dell joined Jack Hammond, executive director of the Red Sox Foundation and MGH Home Base Program, for a walk-through at Fenway Park in advance of the Run-Walk to Home Base 9K on May 4. (The New Balance-sponsored fund-raiser finishes at the park.) . . . Director David O. Russell, in town shooting a movie with Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence, dined with family and friends at Carmelina’s on Hanover Street the other night. We’re told Russell, whose group included composer Jack Jones, feasted on clams scoppiate, pasta peppinella, stuffed pork chops, and gnocchi, and happily posed for a pic with owner Damien DiPaola and his daughter Melina. . . . Actor Dylan McDermott of “The Practice” and “American Horror Story,” was spotted checking out of The Langham Hotel after a weekend stay with his daughter. They dined one night at Umbria Prime. . . . Oscar winner Chris Cooper and wife Marianne Leone Cooper had lunch at Davio’s Monday. . . . Ex-“American Idol” contestant Ayla Brown, daughter of former senator Scott Brown, performed Monday at the Kennedy Day School at Franciscan Hospital for Children. She was joined by her mom, Gail Huff.
