Dennis Lehane helps out Reach Out and Read

Reach Out and Read held a fund-raising breakfast Tuesday, and “Live by Night” author Dennis Lehane was the keynote speaker. The Dorchester native had the crowd laughing with his impressions of Charlestown “townies.” (He and his wife lived there for a while before moving to Brookline.) The event, emceed by Channel 5’s Shayna Seymour, honored Dr. Elise Henricks of the Uphams Corner Health Center and Lisa Lebovitz, a member of Reach Out and Read’s national board of directors.
