What was intended as a Mother’s Day celebration at Ashley Bernon’s place turned into an emotional discussion of the aftermath of the Boston Marathon bombings as Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center CEO Dr. Kevin Tabb and OBGYN Dr. Todd Shapiro shared stories about the acute care administered to victims of the blast. Bernon, a BIDMC overseer, hosted a small group that included Linda Pizzuti Henry, BIDC trustee Virginia MacDowell, Fox 25’s Sara Underwood, and Penelope Fireman. . . . ESPN analyst (and former A’s and Cardinals pitcher) Mark Mulder was enjoying himself at Red Lantern the other night. . . . We knew Korean pop sensation, PSY, was speaking at Harvard. What we didn’t know is that the “Gangnam Style” guy plans to buy dinner from Bibigo for 1,000 attendees of his lecture. . . .
