WGBH has gone to the dogs, at least temporarily. MSPCA-Angell held its annual spring fund-raiser at the station’s Brighton studios this week, and there were four-legged friends everywhere. “Mystic River” writer Dennis Lehane and wife Angie (right) were among the guests who brought their dog to the party. (The pooch, named Rosie, was best buddies with Tessa, the Lehanes’s beagle that ran away on Christmas Eve, never to return.) The gala was emceed by WCVB-TV’s Randy Price and chaired by Boston fashion maven Erica Corsano. Others in the crowd included developer Bob B eale, real estate agent Jasna Mikkelson, and socialites Ashley Bernon, Laura Baldini, and Kathleen VanDernoot. . . . Speaking of Lehane, the Hollywood Reporter says he’s signed on to write a screenplay based on John D. MacDonald’s 1964 mystery novel “The Deep Blue Good-by.” The film, called “Travis McGee,” will star Leonardo DiCaprio. . . . Actress-singer Megan Hilty of “Smash” fortified for her concert at Symphony Hall Thursday with lunch on the patio at Stephanie’s on Newbury.
