Jane Alexander receives the Radcliffe Medal

Boston actress Jane Alexander, known for films such as “The Cider House Rules,” “All The President’s Men,” and “Kramer vs. Kramer,” picked up the Radcliffe Medal on Friday for her support and commitment to the arts. She said during her address at the Rad­cliffe Day event, “We are the only species that has put together a 90-piece orchestra to play Beethoven. We can do so much more.” Alexander (center) was joined at the celebration by Harvard’s president, Drew Faust (left), and Lizabeth Cohen, dean of the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study.
