During a visit to Fenway last week, a few dozen kids from the Joslin Diabetes Center got to work out with their favorite players. Sox outfielder Daniel Nava, catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia, pitcher Felix Doubront, and strength and conditioning coach Pat Santora put the children through their paces as they talked up the benefits of exercise and healthy eating for kids with diabetes. . . . Yes, that was Robert Duvall and Robert Downey Jr. on the front porch of a house in Milton Friday. The actors were shooting scenes for “The Judge,” a dramedy about a judge with Alzheimer’s, played by Duvall, who’s suspected of killing his wife. Downey plays his son. . . . “Sopranos” alums Vincent Pastore (Big Pussy), Frank Santorelli (Georgie the Bartender), and John Fiore (Gigi Cestone) had dinner at Strega Waterfront with owner Nick Varano. The three had been at James Gandolfini’s funeral in New York earlier in the day.
