“Despicable Me 2” star and Marshfield regular Steve Carell visited the team apparel retailer Roster at the Derby Street Shoppes in Hingham on Wednesday. We’re told that Carell purchased a Red Sox hoodie and a T-shirt made by local company ’47 Brand. The Hollywood Reporter says that Carell’s animated sequel, which is out for the holiday weekend, is expected to make $110 million by Sunday. . . . “Star Trek” director J.J. Abrams, whose wife, Katie McGrath, is from Maine, sat by the dugout for Tuesday night’s Red Sox game. Abrams was an executive producer on “Infinitely Polar Bear,” a Mark Ruffalo movie that recently filmed in Rhode Island.
