Former Red Sox pitcher Tim Wakefield and catcher Jason Varitek this week held their annual golf tournament benefiting Pitching in for Kids. The tourney at Granite Links Golf Club in Quincy attracted familiar faces, including Bruins fourth-line fighter Shawn Thornton, 1967 Cy Young winner Jim Lonborg, three-time Super Bowl champ Joe Andruzzi, and assorted others. The nonprofit Pitching in for Kids doles out grants to improve the lives of kids across New England.
