Former Celtics captain Paul Pierce dropped some serious dough at the 2013 World Series of Poker, held over the weekend in Las Vegas. Pierce, who, it pains us to say, will be suiting up for the Brooklyn Nets next season, entered the $10,000 buy-in pot-limit Omaha championship, an event that typically draws only the best professional poker players. Initially, Pierce did well and was in the top 20 in the chip count. But his luck didn’t last and he was eliminated Saturday night.
