Well, that didn’t last long. Word out of New York is that old friend Frances Rivera, who left WHDH-TV (Channel 7) in 2011 to take a job in New York, will be looking for work soon. A website that tracks radio and TV outlets in the Big Apple reports that Rivera, the “Morning News” co-anchor on WPIX-TV (Channel 11), has accepted a buyout from the station and will be off the air by the end of the month. Attempts to reach Rivera were unsuccessful Wednesday. According to TunedInNYC.com, Rivera and her cohost, Sukanya Krishnan, have lacked chemistry and that may be the reason for the switch. . . . Meanwhile, anyone else notice that longtime Jam’n 94.5 host Bobby Blaze is no longer on the air and has been scrubbed from the Jam’n website? No word from station owner Clear Channel on what prompted his departure.
