Eric Fisher suits up as WBZ meteorologist

Eric Fisher laughed when we asked him what he’d be wearing to work on Monday. “I’ve got some suits, and I’m going to put one on that isn’t wrinkled and smells nice,” he said. Fisher (above) explained that even though Monday is his first day on air as WBZ’s chief meteorologist, he’s actually been at work for the past week. The Southwick native and Red Sox season ticket holder recently moved from Georgia, where he worked for The Weather Channel, to be closer to his family. Fisher said it’s been a low-stress first week back in town, at least in terms of weather. But that’s going to change, of course. “We’ll have thunderstorms,” he said on Sunday, sounding a little more certain than we’d like.
