Team IMPACT, a charitable group created by Dan Kraft and Jay Calnan, held its annual Game Day Gala at the Westin Copley Place, raising more than $1 million to pair kids suffering from life-threatening medical conditions with college-based support networks. Also there were former UConn basketball coach Jim Calhoun, ESPN reporter Wendi Nix, Celtics co-owner Jim Pallotta, former Pats players Joe Andruzzi and Matt Chatham, BC basketball coach Steve Donahue, Team IMPACT executive director Dan Walsh and CEO Paul Leech. . . . Actor John Travolta, in town to shoot “The Forger,’’ had a sweet seat for Game 1 of the Sox-Rays series.
