The New England Center for Homeless Veterans marked Veterans Day a little early, hosting its annual “Leave No One Behind” benefit over the weekend. The dinner honored outgoing Mayor Thomas M. Menino and the crowd gave a standing ovation to veteran newsman Chet Curtis, who has emceed the event but is battling cancer. The crowd included Bank of America’s Bob Gallery, car king Herb Chambers, State Secretary of Veterans Affairs Coleman Nee, and Andy McCawley, CEO of the New England Center for Homeless Veterans.
