Former Ambassador to the Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development, Paris, Chris Egan and Deloitte & Touche managing partner Bill Bacic were honored by the Boston Minuteman Council at its annual Salute to Scouting gala at the Boston Harbor Hotel the other night. The crowd included “Cheers” owner Tom Kershaw , construction kahuna Jay Cashman , Harvard Pilgrim president and CEO Eric Schultz , all of whom were Eagle Scouts. . . . Yes, that was Barry Weiss from “Storage Wars” dining with friends at Strega Waterfront the other night. . . . Good news for local author Chuck Hogan . The cable network FX has ordered 13 episodes of “The Strain,” the vampire drama written by Hogan, Guillermo del Toro , and Carlton Cuse .
