Joan Rivers (far left) had the Boston College a cappella group the Bostoni-ans open for her at the Wilbur Theatre over the weekend. She also hung with birthday girl Taylor Blumenreich, whose dad is Wilbur boss Bill Blumenreich. . . . Bruins Shawn Thornton and Dan Paille were at Nebo for lunch on Friday, followed by Patriots Rob Gronkowski, Dane Fletcher, Shane Vereen, and Rob Ninkovich, who went for dinner. . . . Bruins Brad Marchand and Loui Eriksson were at the lounge at Empire on Saturday. Bronco Shaun Phillips had dinner there. . . . Former SBLI president Bob Sheridan picked up the UMass Lowell Legacy Award over the weekend for his contribution to the school’s hockey program. Sheridan (right center) posed with chancellor Marty Meehan (left) and Henry Thomas, chairman of the UMass board of trustees. UMass Lowell also honored its former assistant golf coach and longtime supporter, John Kennedy, who got the James T. Smith Award for distinguished life achievement, and the Quincy-based Team IMPACT, which connects kids with life-threatening illnesses to college teams.
