Cambridge’s Casey Affleck talked about his local accent (or lack thereof) on “Conan” on Monday night. While promoting his new film “Out of the Furnace,” Affleck said, “I don’t have an [Boston] accent. My parents don’t have an accent. . . . Growing up, people would ask me what country I’m from. . . . I’ve always had my own strange accent.” Brookliner Conan O’Brien responded, “No one ever thinks I have a Boston accent or any kind of Massachusetts accent and then I look at home movies . . . my parents just found when I’m like 7 and . . . it’s not just a Boston accent, it’s like I’m a little Kennedy.”
