Before his appearance at Symphony Hall as part of the Boston Speakers Series, Silicon Valley icon (and Apple cofounder) Steve Wozniak stopped by Lesley University, where he spoke with about 200 students and staff members. Woz, as he’s known, talked about the computer revolution, the early days of Apple, his experience on “Dancing With the Stars” (he didn’t win), and the geek-centered CBS sitcom “The Big Bang Theory.” . . . The Canadian novelist/poet/environmental activist Margaret Atwood will be in town May 1 to receive the 2014 Harvard Arts Medal. The ceremony will include a Q&A with Atwood, moderated by actor and Harvard alum John Lithgow. Previous Medal recipients include photographer Susan Meiselas , saxophonist Joshua Redman, composer John Adams, playwright Christopher Durang , poets John Ashbery and Maxine Kumin , songwriter Bonnie Raitt, and, last year, actor Matt Damon.
