“How I Met Your Mother” actor, Emmy winner, frequent Tonys host, and Ben Affleck’s costar in “Gone Girl” Neil Patrick Harris
has been named man of the year by Harvard University’s Hasty Pudding Theatricals. He’ll receive the honor
Feb. 7 — a week after Helen Mirren
picks up her own pudding pot as woman of the year. The evening ceremony always includes a good roasting by Hasty Pudding performers. They should have plenty of material thanks to Harris’s resume, which includes “The Smurfs,” “Doogie Howser, M.D.,” and the stoner classic “Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle,” in which he plays himself (sort of). After Harris gets his pudding pot, the Hasty Pudding Theatricals will perform “Victorian Secrets,” its 166th production.
