Supporters and friends of the Max Warburg Courage Curriculum celebrated its 23d anniversary with a party at the Liberty Hotel. (The MWCC is a yearlong language arts middle- and high-school curriculum focused on books that stress the theme of courage in the lives of children and young adults.) Guests included Stephanie, Jonathan, and Fred Warburg, event co-chairs Paul Reville and Julie Joyal, Janet Wu, Nina Fialkow, Sukey Forbes, Suzanne and Jeff Bloomberg, and Joan Alfond, among others. The crowd was treated to a surprise performance by soprano Abigail Krawson.
