A&E has confirmed that it has picked up “Breaking Boston,” a Mark Wahlberg-produced reality series that follows working-class women from around the city. The network says, of the show and its stars, “Each one of them has already hit rock bottom via destructive relationships or bad choices, but they’re all leaning on each other and looking for a way out.” Wahlberg (right) says, in the network’s statement, “These are real women telling their original stories of trying to break out of what’s expected of them. The odds are difficult, but I believe they can make it.” The show premieres March 13 at 10 p.m. A&E also airs “Wahlburgers,” a more upbeat reality show about Mark, Paul, and Donnie Wahlberg’s burger joint in Hingham.
