Celtics wives and Celtics Dancers shopped at the Alex and Ani jewelry store Thursday night, along with the public, in a benefit for the Boston Celtics Shamrock Foundation. In its Newbury Street store, the Rhode Island-based jewelry maker offered 14 percent of all sales from the Celtics bangle bracelet and Celtics Dancers bathing suit calendar to the Foundation. The night’s sale raised $3,500 for the charity, bringing the total company donation to more than $250,000 for the year. . . . In other Celtics news, forwards Joel Anthony and Kelly Olynyk will compete Monday against students at the Perkins School for the Blind in Watertown in a goalball game. The players will don blindfolds and learn how to play the game, which is a team sport designed for athletes who are blind or visually impaired and that uses a three-pound ball with bells inside it. Rules are similar to floor hockey. Celtics owner Wyc Grousbeck and his wife, Corinne, who chairs the Perkins Trust Board, will be at the event; their son is a student at Perkins.
