Hailing 12 who jump at chance to help

Cheekily calling them “Diversity Game Changers: White Men Who Can Jump,” the business networking organization Get Konnected, founded by Colette Phillips, honored a dozen local VIPs at a Tuesday night gala at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center. The honorees: bankers Robert Rivers and Eric Rosengren ; Massachusetts General president Dr. Peter Slavin ; Morgan Stanley’s James Geraghty; Northeastern University’s Barry Bluestone ; Red Sox and Boston Globe owner John Henry ; Sox CEO Larry Lucchino ; City Year cofounder Alan Khazei ; Convention Center Authority head James Rooney ; American Jewish Committee chief Robert Leikind ; Boston Mayor Marty Walsh; and state Treasurer Steve Grossman .
