The Handel and Haydn Society’s black-tie bash at the Mandarin Oriental Saturday honored two local leaders in music education and scholarship, Harvard music professor Thomas Forrest Kelly and Boston University’s Sandra Nicolucci , who’s also worked closely with area public schools on music education and performing arts curricula. Co-chaired by longtime H&H supporters Cecily Tyler and Jane Manilych , the event raised money for the organization’s education and artistic initiatives while celebrating the 20th anniversary of its vocal apprenticeship program.
