Now batting for N.Y.: Jacoby ‘Ellsubry’

Former Red Sox centerfielder Jacoby Ellsbury has a lot to smile about, having inked a seven-year, $153 million contract with the Yankees. But we’re guessing he was none too happy when his name was misspelled on the scoreboard at Yankee Stadium during the team’s home opener. In the bottom of the sixth inning, Ellsbury’s name appeared on the outfield scoreboard as “Ellsubry” when he stepped up to the plate. D’oh. (You’d think if they can spell Mark Teixeira and Masahiro Tanaka, Ellsbury would be a breeze.) Ellsbury went 2-for-4 to help the Bronx Bombers beat the Orioles.
